    What not to powder coat...

    Well, in case you were wondering, you can't powder coat the Honda gascaps with the on-off vent lever. Whatever is inside the cap couldn't withstand the heat and the vent lever simply pulled right off after the cure. Oh well. Anyone have a gascap they can part with?

    Yeah, I know. The gascap was pretty rough to begin with though, so I figured what the heck, I'll see what will happen. I beadblasted it at work today and then PC'ed it when I got home. You can see how pitted it was by the surface finish on the top. I think I'll finish disecting this one with a cut-off wheel. I've always wondered what is inside there.
