    83 big red with chain and reverse?

    A fellow needs an engine for his big red. Got parked underwater for an extended period of time. (somehow)

    elec and pull start, chain drive and reverse.
    I've never seen one but I have an extra, regular 200 pull start engine.

    I'm thinking the engine mounts may line up but the output sprocket may not line up.

    Pretty sure those early big red engines are not too common.

    Wonder what I should suggest to him?

    Honda never made a 200 Ch,drive w reverse. So,,,it is a VERY<VERY rare conversion as Crazyman said,,will have TEN speeds in reverse!! Or,,,more likely,,someones mistaken,and it's a 84 Shaft w reverse. I have never seen one of the 10 speeds. But like a LOT of the mythical models that DO NOT exist,,,they do!
    Please help those who cannot help themselves.

    aaahhh. I'll find out more today.
    oh, 007, I got some inkling of 84 b red tank but lost/can't get to my PM's.
    Not rusted inside but pretty sure it was spraycanned on the outside.
    I promise I'll look in the next day or so.
