my issue is if i leave my fuel valve on and gas cap on all night the trike wont fire the next day i take out the spark plug and it has gas all over it but if i change the spark plug it will fire up whats my issue? it does the samething if i leave it for 20mins(not running)

You can pull your fuel line off the carb and make SURE your fuel shutoff is off when set to off.
It might want to be a few degree 'off' the mark to actually be off.
We turn ours off all the time and I usually get stuck halfway across the field but that's way better than
what you describe.
Seriously, it CAN dilute your engine oil.

Honestly, the float valves should shut the gas off when the float bowl gets full
but procedure is to shut the gas off no matter what.
I think it's on the motorcycle road test here.
I'd clean the carb and float valve on general principles.
Does gas come out the overflow when this happens?

no my fuel valve works but i have to run it when i shut it off for it to start properly the next day

souds like a float/needle isue. u might wanna drop the bowl and make sur u don't have any trash in there. also inspect your float and needle they may need to be replaced.

sorry bring back an old post still having the issue also noticed that my float needle is smaller then the float needle shaft it wiggles around. how can i find a bigger float needle?

My buddy had the same issue. Sometimes it would fire up and other times not. Then, once fired and running, would quit and was almost impossible to start without taking some time and messing with the carb. He also had similar issues like you state. His problem, the gas cap was bad. Changed his gas cap, he hasn't had an issue ever since. He went through 2 new carbs among other things before discovering it was the cap. Hope this helps. Good luck.
