New to the board
it looks like it has a 84 250r front end, but the guy was told it was a 85 liquid cooled trike...what im really concerned with is, if its based off a 84 atc250r, would the missle kit work with a 85/86 if i bought a whole trike to swap the missle kit onto...

That's an 85-86 250r front end. Parts of the frame look to be XR and parts look to be atc250r. Is the fuel tank in the rear? Interesting to say the least. If it was mine, I think I'd leave it just the way it is. In theory you could use the missile parts on another atc250r, but it really depends on how much things have been "adjusted" to fit the xr motor.
Last I had heard John Kite is still making the Missile Engineering kits, or has the capabilities to.

oh ok...well, thats some good news. yeah tank is in the rear, electronics are in the tank...i gotta get some more info on it from the seller...i do want to keep it like it is, but if a 250r came my way on a deal, i would want to be able to make it a 2 wheeler with this one.

Methinks it'd be nice to use such a street legal engine and frame in a missle conversion for a dual sport bike.........
