Anything common between our 250 es/sx and the good ol' xl 250 bikes?

Couldn't decide where to post this but I have a chance to get an xl 250
since I am very impressed with the 250 es 'sx models.

Is it a different animal all together?
A good addition to the collection?

ok, NOW this sounds like it should be in a different forum.

    Oh, I know!

Will the 250 xl engine fit into a trike frame?

    Thanks

Total different models Doc. The year would also make a huge difference. My bro in law had a 73 125. VERY nice bike.. If it's nice,,I would guess it's very collectible. Newer ones would be RFVC. etc.. Obviously kick backwards. Very nice bikes! Grab it !
