Big Red recoil rebuild

does anyone have advice in putting the spring back in this recoil, i have been trying for days and it just wont work. any help i can get will be appreciated

The spring or the string ? Either way it has to come apart, If your talking about the spring it must be apart already though , With the center piece out ya can just wind it back into the case. Hook the end onto the lip and wind it inside itself.

Your Not alone Fighting with that lil Bastar*
The easyiest way I found was to TRY to Wind it as tight as you can in your hand (Gloves on) the Slip the End the Fits into the Housing in the notch While the other end is in the Inner Part as well (you have to Keep them Close to do this-Then Push it down (at first it wont seat properly) but as you start to Wind it up it will eventually) it took me about an Hour to Finally get it-Good Luck!

i do have it apart and i am talking about putting the spring back in, i will have to try the gloves because the little tab on the inside of the spring cut me pretty deep the other day
