That doesn't look like any 70 motor I've ever seen. It looks like a Tecumseh go kart motor, and a small one at that. Couldn't be more than 5 HP.

Might be worth having them shipped out? Shipping by bus is still fairly reasonable in Canada if that helps you any?

Definitely didn't come out of a 70. I would think any industrial engine that's 20hp would be a twin cylinder?

In his dreams its 20 hp. Notice he says "Not sure" in his guess of the hp? It is possible with a smaller briggs motor, but you have to be a brilliant enging builder to attain that out of what appears to be a 5-8 hp single cylinder. Still nice fenders......

You are correct, even the older ones over 18 HP were opposed twins. Modern ones are aluminum V twins, I have one to put in my old 6 wheeler, I just don't have time to work on it right now...

I dunno, the pictures don't really even show a real size indicator... It could be a 20hp engine for all we know...

I had a 22hp single cylinder on a mini bike when I was a kid. Fast as nuts but hard as hell to start as a little whiipper snapper. I didn't have enough arse to pull it
