Ceramic coating a 185 exhaust? That's ridiculous....ly cool looking!
Did somebody say there was a Supertrapp for the 250SX? My stock one rusted out, but before I replaced it, I noticed a definite power improvement at the low end. I almost regretted putting a new muffler on. But I REALLY like my machines quiet.
The other guys beat me to the punch. JetHot is a company that does ceramic coating. I would not use them again because they claim their products carry a lifetime warranty. They honor squat. They have so many weasel clauses it's almost impossible to put a claim in. Back in 2007 I coated my swinger to match the exhaust. I used HPC coatings (High Performance Coatings). They were the originators of this process (or at least that's what they claim). They offer many coatings in different temperature ratings and colors. I just checked their website out and it looks like they are no longer in business. CRAP!!! Their site forwards to JetHot. Maybe HPC bought JetHot. Dunno. I guess Im going to have to send them an email. You can also DYI if you have a sandblaster and an oven. Eastwood Company sells the coating:

The 1st gen RCM Alloy has a different baffle. The newer ones will not fit my exhaust. I found that out when the baffle nut corroded and I called DG to get a replacement baffle. They said they no longer make that one and I would have to buy a whole new system! So, I did some mods and made it work.

I got my pipe and it looks to be in good shape considering how it was shipped. It came in a plain brown box and was inside just wrapped in newspaper seems kind of weird that thats how Dennis Kirk would ship a new pipe. I figured it would atleast come in a DG box or something. What sux is they said I'd get a DG sticker with it and I didn't get one.Everyone knows stickers add 5hp. Anyways Now all I'm waiting on is my exhaust gaskets to get here from Service Honda. I wonder how it will be shipped.

I would contact Dennis Kirk and complain. Tell them they should take better care packing their products. Don't forget to ask for your stickers!! Every bit of hp counts!![]()
I have nothing but good to say about LoKo coatings

I have had them do a ton of things for me, the quality is always excellent.
Samples:
My SRT-4 Everything on this engine is powdercoated including the block and head. The Turbo, exhaust manifold, heat shields, Intake manifold and intercooler plumbing are all doe with SuperKote Ceramic
My Welder and Plasma Cutter:
The Front and Rear bumpers on my Ram
And the axle on my 350x:

I have bought hundreds of parts from DK even a dg pipe and never had an issue with packaging.did you want a fancy box and a sticker or a nice pipe?
This is a blurb from my coater's web site. Don't know if all this is true, but thats what he says.

You could always use SuperTrapp's universal slip-on:

Here's one installed on a 250sx:
That there is my a members here - Honda250sx . My trike was built to be almost the same as his. He did 90 of the work although I found the supertrapp. To run a super trapp on a 250sx , you need the headpipe, which is longer and larger diameter than the stock. The back part seems to be identical to a 200x end pipe.
Thats about my favorite 250sx. I watched all his youtube videos on it. If I ever buy another 250sx I also will build it similiar to that one. But back to the ceramic coating. I read somewhere that it will make your header cooler kind of like a heatshield. I had a 400ex that had a big gun exhaust on it that had the header coated and it did seem to be abit cooler.
