83 ytm 225dx headlight

I cannot figure out how to get my headlight to work. The neutral light works as does the taillight about the headlight. I found a couple fuses and they are good. Does the battery need to be fully charged in order for the headlight to work. I just bought it and the battery is completely dead it does not even take a charge. Or when else could it be thanks for any help I am at a loss.

Is your bulb good? I have no knowledge of the DX's but the headlight and the tail light should run off the stator. If it is supplying good power to the system which it sounds like it is (the trike is running correctly) then I would check the bulb first.

Hi..thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention I did replace the bulb so it is not that. Switch then?

it is probably the switch, i do not have a battery in mine, and it works. it gets brighter as the rpm's go up, but no battery is needed.

Any idea where to find 1 of those?
