Cool vid Rob. All this Banshee talk has perked my interest for sure.
Maybe someday.... An all original '87 OEM resto perhaps???? Just like old. Love the pro's/cons banter here on the "shee" as you all refer to them. I'll be watch'n your build Matt !
    Good luck.

Rob dude If you do build a banshee and if it's like any of your other bikes dude, I'm sure it'll be one awesome looking machine.

    Thanks dude!

I did make a little progress with it today the jugs where painted like baby blue and that S*** had to go plus i like that cast look way more haha I didn't wanna sandblast them so I used this stripper I picked up at wally world that I used to strip the clutch cover and worked pretty awesome

Quick mock up of the motor have to still have to swap the other motor internals to this one. I know the clutch cover needs to more work on the polishing

On another note here's the new swinger for the bros bike, I told him I'll bore the holes out so it can fit the needle bearings better.

Carb wise I guess it depends on what you want to do with it, the bigger you go the more bottom end you loose. Personally 34s are perfect for a stock cylinder built motor. Let me know if you want some pics, my buddy's j arm bike is in my shop right now (+2 swinger, stellar +2+1 j arms, f.a.s.t. dune port 4 mil, waiting on a set of rocket 2s and a pair of 34pwks., shaved bumper, everything is powder coated flat black, gloss black or red, with red and black dune cut plastics.) Like others have said, banshees have their place, stock to stock any honda will handle better, but that doesnt make a banshee bad. not really my cup-o-tea, but they are fun to ride.

2005 CRF450R Alum Frame build done, switching to inverts.
86 trx250r fmf fatty fmf q k&n v force reeds gold valve rear shock with eibach spring.
    86 atc250r stock sand only
    88 NX250 mint rainy day
85 kawi js550 stand up basicly stock
87 kawi js550 scary fast for a stand up

Mosh, that shee sounds sweet. I had a 2003 banshee a few years ago that was all stock when I got it, I had the heads shaved and a 2 into 1 pipe. I am pretty sure when I was looking into getting the 2 into 1 setup it was your video that made me decide to get one. My brother had a 2001 banshee with fmf fattys on it and mine sounded way sweeter. They sound way better standing next to it compared to hearing the video, I was always on the pipe just to hear the sweet music it made. Lol

I ran 12-41 gearing. Hardly what you want for top end.
Oddly though I still run that gearing on My wifes Shee with DMC 916's, but she gets goin on the top end a little more that the 2-1 pipe would.
Here is where my long useless list of stuff nobody cares about should go...
