    Is there a step by step honda 70 tranny rebuild thread here some where?

    I did a search and came up with nothing?


    a video would help.

    Why do you want to rebuild it? does it not stay in gear or what?
    An F-16 turned the after burners on and banked HARD over my house, I ran outside grabbed my Bud Light and Yelled as loud as I could................

    Your best bet is to download a shop manual.

    Check the shifter wheel for the shifter start, Let me find the link

    As mentioned it prob just the drum stopper thats broken and its stuck in between gears . Located behind the clutch cover .

    your video is private it wont play. you have to take the clutch off then the big ass gear thats held on with a snap ring and there it is!

    See those Three Philips screws on the clutch ? You need a impact screw remover deal to take them off. Then the cover comes off there sometimes a pain in the ass to remove put i swear it comes off. Then you will see the nut that you need to remove to take the clutch off. Pull it off and set it aside. Then pop the snap ring off and take the large gear off. Then the stopper is easy to get to!

    If you want to rebuild the Whole trans, i think it has to be out of the frame.

    ahhh that's what I was going to do byt my son lost part of my impact driver set so now I have to wait till i buy a new set. KIDS grrrrrrrrrrrr

    Got the impact screw remover and got the plates off.

    Next question.....

    How do I get the lock nut off do I need a special tool?
