    changing Tri-Z sprocket

Ok this may be a stupid question, But, I'm having trouble removing the nut on the front sprocket. Is it regular thread or reverse? Should it be on so tight?
I flattened out the keeper but I can't loosen the nut.

The same size you were using with your wrench or socket... Your first question wasn't stupid, but this one...

Most impacts are 1/2" sized so you would need a 1/2" socket in the same size as the wrench or socket you were using before. Put the socket on either your air or electric (corded or cordless) impact. Lefty loosey and hit it.

Well I don't exactly know what size because I was using an adjustable wrench and I was planning on picking up an impact socket on the way home from work.

In that case I apologize.. You do realize that's a recipe for disaster on that.. Looking at pics it looks to be a 17, 19, or 21mm.. I realize that doesn't help you much..

FYI: It might have said adjustable wrench on the box it came in, but it's really more of a nut roundener.
