Tri-z wtf with changing to keihin carb on tri-z

OK. So i got a PWK 36mm carb , got the Honda 250R cable . It seems like the cable is just to short , won't let the slide drop all the way down. First picture is cable pulled all the way through the pwk carb cap, second picture is of the carb. Any help ?
    Thanks

I picked the carb up off ebay as a whole , so where this and that came from i have no idea. I figured it was a stock pwk carb not modded in any way shape or form. I thought you said any honda 250R cable would work so i got a 85 honda 250R motion pro cable . As far as the cap , I dont have any idea. I am getting so sick of ebay , the last 4 or 5 items i ordered from there have been jacked! I posted the pictures because it wasn't working out , I dunno .

I didn't run into this problem when putting the 35mm keihin on my 84R , well because it already had the cable that would work. lol
