Lightbulb Adding LED Strobe Lights to 250ES Big Red

    Hi Guys,

Now that I have my plow all setup and ready, I want to add a little safety (well....want to make it look cool). I just ordered two cheap LED kits straight from China for close to nothing:

4X3 LED Car Strobe Light ($11)

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI...E:L:OU:US:1123

2X Yellow 22 LED Flashing Emergency Strobe ($6)

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI...E:L:OU:US:1123

I already have a very simple but cool toggle switch mounted on my front rack, so my plan is to wire both kits straight to the battery and put them inline with the switch to turn them on and off. I doubt I'll ever really run them with the machine off, but I can if needed.

My only concerns is if you think this will work fine? I believe the LED's use a very small amount of wattage. The kits are supposedly waterproof, but I'll seal them up a bit more and if all fails, I'm out less than $20!

Please let me know your thoughts/concerns.

    Thanks!

Why not wire them into the auxiliary plug on the Big Red head light?

Because there may be times during a snowstorm when I want to be seen and times when I don't (but need a headlight) if you know what I mean! The toggle switch I already have mounted will give me that ability.

I wired a toggle switch using the aux power line, that way you dont have to run a wire to your battery. Also, this way you will never drain your battery if you forget to switch off your toggle switch, as the aux line is tied to the key

Yup...that's exactly what I did. The fronts are on and they look/work awesome! I still have to wire the rears in and will then post some pics.
