i went to vegas this summer. i satyed at the flamingo too. it was fun saw some big winners not me though. unfortunitly you wont be able to see roy get bit again we were unable to the show when we where there. one thing i do recommend not doing is letting them talk you into a time share!!!!!! unless you want one and want to waste 6 hours i suggest staying away. they roped me in with some free crap i didnt use becasue of the time i had left. i had a blast and plan to go back. go see the erupting volcano, the water show at the beliquo ( ocean's eleven movie casino lol
) theres plenty to do. gambling is great too. just have fun and good luck

Wow what a trip! next time I'm staying for a week! Vegas rocks, the casinos are real impressive, they really take care of you down there. We even made a trip out to hoover dam. I ended up only loosing 130 bucks there. We would of almost paid for the trip other than loosing money at the airport on the return home at the airport. boy, we had a heck of a time getting home from the time we dropped the jeep off a thriffty until we arrived home took us nearly 14 hours! First off we had a flight delay of 2 1/2 hours hence the loosing of money at the airport in the slots. then when we took off and got to cruising altitude the captain says, "Ummmm we have a light on in the cabin, the um brakes are overheating, and uh, the manual says to drop the landing gear so the air will cool the brakes."So he cycles the landing gear, and at altitude you can really feel the drag of the landing gear, so that got the heart beating a little. then about ten seconds later he gets back on and says " uhhhh that seemed to have fixed the problem the light is out and uh we'll continue the flight as a normal flight back to Portland." Well I start to feel at ease, well, twenty seconds later you can hear the landing gear cycling again! crap! He gets back on the com and says" Ummm uhhh the light seems to have came back on, Were going to have to go back to Vegas," So were light crap hope everythings aright, so we fly back and start to get close to landing about 20 seconds until touchdown and the flight attendant gets on the com and says, " the captain just informed me that there is a likely chance that the left landing gear will colapse and that emergency personal are at standby and we should put our hands forward in the seat in front of us and brace for inpact!" "trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro I say!" Did'nt even have a chance to freak out. featuring a big fireball coming up. So we touch down and he brakes the plane twice as hard as I've ever felt and finally come to a stop. everyone cheering!!!!!! man I tought for sure we were toast, and everyone was saying LIKELY CHANCE!!!!! CRAP!!! So the fire trucks circle us with their fire trucks and gets on the radio to the captain to tell him that he had a flat tire and the strut on the left landing gear was a little bent. Cool thing was that he was quick to tell us. we ended up just off loading onto buses and getting ferried back to the terminal. The captain rode back on the bus and you could definitly tell he was nervous and had a turtle touching cotton. Well 5 hours later we ended up boarding another flight and making it back. so WHAT A TRIP!!!!!!!! I post some pics as soon as I shrink them down to file size. I took a couple of the plane with the fire trucks around it.

It sounded like you had fun, except for the flight home.
If you would of gambled at the casino they would of given you free drinks, it includes beer to.
Did you get to watch and shows on the main strip(treasure island, mirage, and beligo)?

Yeah we had our share of drinks at the casino's we had won enough money to pay for the trip other than losing some at the airport. The first night there we had dinner at the Mirage and took the tram over to Tresure Island and watched the free show out front, what was reallly cool was the Venician. Wow what a place with the canals and gondola's just like you were walking around in Europe. And the fountain at the Balagio was amazing. We went to a magic show at The Tropicana, that guy was funny and amazing, a very entertaining show. and we also took in the knights of the round table dinner show, now that was fun, that was over at the Excalliber. We had a couple cookies we stole from a buffet and set them on the console of the jeep and when we got our car back from the valet they had ate the cookies, I could'nt believe it. There's just to many things to do down there and it amazing how busy it is at 4 in the morning, its like midnight at walmart the night before x-mas eve.

Did you go to Caesar's Palace when you were there. I think it's the most impressive Hotel in Vegas.

No we did'nt, I thought I could talk my folks into meeting us but dad went hunting, guess he got an elk though. I also say a Colorado river dive shop there. I was going to stop in and check it out and ask what in the heck they see and where they dive but I spaced it off on the way back.

i heard tell that they allowed diving the water overflow tubes(or what ever they call them) for awhile. i don't think they do it anymore.
not to sure i'd want to do that,,,, well maybe once.

elk are like the best eating meat i have ever had.

oh,,,, by the way,,,, the mrs. is now asking when i'm gonna take her on a trip to vegas,,, thanks man ( lol)

Well got a letter from Alaska Airlines today, they comped us 2 round trip tickets!!! Cabo here we come!!!!!
