Well id like to use a 1st gen 200x shock because of availability but if i have to get a 2nd gen shock ill prolly spring for one. Id like to know the length of both.

The first gen and second gen mount differently. The 86/87 is a male on top and bottom. The 83-85 mount like the 350 and the R.

I havent ever messed with a 2nd gen so i didnt know that. I guess ill need the 1st gen dimensions.
