200s saved from rotting away in a field

I was at a tow lot where my sons car was towed two weeks ago and noticed an ATC looking sad out in the back of the parking lot in the weeds. Offered the guy $100 for it and he said sure why not. All it needed was some air in the tires, new recoil spring, pull rope and handle, and a seat cover, and TONS of TLC! I spent hours working on this thing adjusting and cleaning. Amazing thing is the inside of the tank is pristine, not a spec of rust. When i bought it I planned on parting it out but I'm really happy i was able to breath life back into it. Heres a quick before / after pic.

I love stories like this: what an awesome find for 100 bones. Amazing what a little TLC can do.

I like how it looks with the 11 inch front wheel, you don't see that too often on a 200S; but I'm guessing there's no front brake.
    Current trikes owned:

    1985 Yamaha Tri-Z 250...fully restored

    1985 Honda 250 SX...nice survivor original condition

Yep. No front brake. It also only had half the original rear fender when i got it and that was spray painted. :-) The fender thats on there now is one that i had laying around from an ATC110, a few mods to it got it to fit up good and tight. There was also this nasty looking trailer hitch that someone did a horrible weld job on hanging off the back so i cut that off, cleaned it up and painted the bare metal.

Saw this on Craigslist. Looks like you'll make quite a profit! And probably feel pretty good about keeping it from going to the scrapyard.

Yep. Already had one offer for trade for a mid 80's Honda street bike. Would like to do it but I really need the cash. I also just bought an '85 ATC110 that i plan on keeping / restoring. Its in the best shape of any i've personally seen. I'll have to post some pics of it as well.
