slipping when accelerating.. clutch?

My 200s has gotten to the point where i dont want to ride it anymore... (Yea right)..
I just recently rebuilt the top end with a .20 piston/bore job and valve work done. And now this... Everytime i accelerate 1st, 2nd 3rd,4th,5th it slips like a bugger between the 3 last gears. I can hardly go past 1/4 throttle without it slipping. But whats slipping? Clutch or friction wheel shoes?... It takes off fine, crawls right ahead rocks flying 3ft in the air.
Iam also running a 13-40 gearing ratio ATM.... Maybe to tall of front sprocket for older clutch plates..... ?
It zooms pretty good when i can actually get it WOT, but when a hill comes up i have to let off for it not to slip....

Some oils will make the clutch slip. Stay away from energy conserving oils, high mileage, and the like. What oil are you running?

Alright lads, you have given me some usefull information. The local stealer ship couldnt even tell me and he works on them... He says its one or the other lol
Since i will be in there, im thinking to replace the friction shoes along with the cluches...
And as for oil, im running Kendal 10w40... Ive never had a problem with this oil, i ran a 88 225 moto4 for years with this oil and other oils, never had a slipping problem, and currently running my 200s, a 185s and a trx200 with same oil, only the 200s is flogging out.

Just make sure the oil is "Wet Clutch Safe". Conventional motor oils are designed to lubricate EVERYTHING and make it all super slippery. Automobiles have external clutches that are not inside of the engine, so those oils don't effect the clutch. They make your motorcycle wet clutches VERY slippery though.

stating the obvious (to those that know) there's 2 clutches in there, if its taking off fine, then the 'centrifugal' clutch is fine, if the slip is when under load its the conventional clutch, ie- the friction discs. had this problem on mine a few years back on my one and someone on here said exactly the same. I pulled it apart and had a look and sure enough a couple of the friction discs were polished totally smooth an shiney... if memory serves me correctly I replaced them with EBC ones and its great
