Well, to give you some perspective, there was a Nicholson 500 with a built 580 engine in it that was on Ebay today and didn't get a bid at 4,000. It is an excellent trike with very good documentation and the current owner is a respected member of this board.

If that trike didn't sell for that price, it would be difficult for me, personally to spend anything more for, in my mind for something similar. IMHO.

The glass fenders wouldn't personally bother me, I ran glass fenders several seasons when I raced in the desert down here in southern California.

I'm anxious to see the pics too.

Well that's very cool. An early Nicholson 500 frame with an ascot motor. I started a similar project but stopped when I realized I'd have to either cut the frame member that made up the foot pegs to allow for the wet sump or figure out a dry sump configuration which still required cutting the same cross member.

Nice battery installation and I'll bet the sound of the straight pipes were really cool.

    Interesting tire combination.

    Nice paint on the tank.

Bet it goes faaaaaasssssst with a small rear sprocket. Doesn't look like the front tire is street thought, that would be troubling.

Still have the two FT500 motors and Nicholson frame I started with. LOL

Nice catch on the image Joseph, and yes 2x where did you find the image?

It is now in my possession.

I was turned on to the bike by White Tail Hunter. It was down in his neck of the woods in Florida. I had a friend pick it up for me and he got in with it yesterday. Haven't had a chance to really check it out. I dropped it off over at my parents shop. Had Christmas functions last night but going by later today to take a closer look at what I have.

It was an early Christmas present to Me and My Brother. Been looking for a Nicholson framed bike.....really want a 185/200.

Have Big plans for this bike. Really cant believe I now own an early Nick 500.

    *** I'll post more pic's later. ***

Great find. Good to hear you found one.

Yes I'd be interested in the carb setup that is there.

Still haven't had a chance to go over and check out the bike.....
Just too busy with work and the Holidays. I'm going to my parents for Christmas tomorrow evening and I'll get back there and take a closer look.
The story is the guy I bought it from Step Father purchased this bike and another bike new and has had it all these years...... His step father is now close to 90. He said he sold the other bike several years back. He purchased them to ride around on his property. He claims the mileage on the speedo is correct at 92 miles. It's hard to tell from the pic's but the swing arm, shock springs, axle, motor mounts and the side cases were all chromed. The tank is from a Suzuki and the rear fenders are fiberglass. The paint is definitely period correct early 80's style. It does have a signature on the tank. If anyone recognized it please let me know. Also it has some interesting wording on the fenders. On the back it has "Big Moe".....and on the side it has "Rocket POP". The paint is in really good shape for its age. The owner did have West Coast connections. He was friends with someone with ties to the NBA and traveled from California to Florida.
Interesting bike for sure. Does look like it was set up for the street but the front Goodyear is kind of a strange choice. Although it does have a wheel weight like it was balanced. lol
Wish I knew more about the history. The son could not get much out of his step father. He kept going back and forth on if he really wanted to sell. Fortunately he did.
Check out the pic's I have so far and you guys let me know what you think.

These pics are from the other day.
