    200x Zoom Zoom ebay carb

Just wanted to post that I installed a carburetor purchased on ebay from Zoom Zoom on my 84 200x. I compared the dimensions to the old carb, and it looks like it is the same size. Slight differences in the drain tube(s) and bowl. Starts first kick now, hot or cold, and run beautifully. I may have gotten lucky, but it seems they set up this replacement carb right. Weather here isnt conducive to comparing the top speed with the new carb, but it sure idles smoother and starts easier.

I've been reading about these and I'm ready to pull the trigger. From what I'm reading it seems like 90% of people have had great experiences. My only concern is I have a Honda 200x with 200s engine. I was planning on buying the 200x carb so it'll line up with the air boot correctly. Are there any major differences between the engines that will affect how my results?

I've had great luck with mine, been running it since April 2010. It always idles nice unlike with the stock carb which was erratic even after rebuilding it.

I can report back after a good winter trail ride that the new carb is working great. Snowy trails are a lot of fun, but I couldn't get enough traction to do wheelies.

My Zoom Zoom carb out of the box is not working well. I adjusted the pilot screw to 2 and 1/4 turns out like it should be but it has an erratic idle and doesn't run as strong as it should. I have to leave the choke half way on otherwise it stalls out.

Then it's too lean....... Or your letting too much air in.

Mine was set at 3 turns out from the factory, and it is running great in that position. My old carb used to pop and bang the exhaust when I let off the throttle. This carb revs smoother and no lean popping when I let off the gas.
