    #11 got a new front end!

    it was a long morning... but it came out of surgery ok... actually better than ok.. heres how I started off..

    then we got serious... first thing with the Howser bar clamps the aluminum ferro has to be trimmed to 1'' 5/16 and the thickness of the rubber shoulder has to be removed from one bushing. Should look like the 4th pic just inside the rubber on both sides. Tighten em down and cut off the extra thred's.

    then it go's from coffee to beer QUICK! go to mount the triples and the stem hole has a step in it not allowing it to fully seat on the lock nut. Rat Tail File to the Rescue! pic 6 is what the Howser clamps should look like.

    then I took my retired Aussie duner plate and "many memorable races on that plate" used the fork stand offs with a DC plastic white tecate plate , trimming with a new razor.. a few rivets.. there was plenty of plastic on the plate to custom trim it ,,I left the top corners to protect my speed bleeders but cut the center out to allow movement of the cables...

    end Pics after hackin up the tecate plate.. GIT IT! The chunks of plastic I had left over I uses for backers for my rivets.

    Appears to be Jason Hall's whole set up using KTM 85sx forks, caliper and rotor, Jason includes an adapter for the rotor.

    2005 CRF450R Alum Frame build done, switching to inverts.
    86 trx250r fmf fatty fmf q k&n v force reeds gold valve rear shock with eibach spring.
    86 atc250r stock sand only
    88 NX250 mint rainy day
    85 kawi js550 stand up basicly stock
    87 kawi js550 scary fast for a stand up

    well yes and no.. this is one off ,, tripples and axle yes,, 85sx forks yes. 525xc duel piston caliper ,, stock rotor. re drilled and re taped. these forks came from the first set of triz inverts ever back in 05! the lower fork leg has been cut. so major fabrication has been called in. to make every thing line up with jasons stuff... YES HALL'S PEFORMANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    is the tri-z steering stem the same diameter as a 250R? i will be doing a similar front end on my '86 R but with cut down CR125 forks. just wondering how much is the same on a tri-z.

    Jason makes the tripples useing the 250R stem also. ya there diffrent.
