    Compression test 250R

I would like to do a compression test on my 86 250r today. Is it best to warm up the motor first? Thanks for any help with this.

Well, you can do a check on a warm or cold engine. Just keep in mind a cold engine will have slightly lower compression than a warm one will. Testing a warm engine will give you a better idea of what it's doing under normal operating conditions...

Thanks for the reply. I just finished doing the compression test on my 250r. The engine was warm, not hot. It was 200 psi with 10 kicks. Seems good to me. I'll see how it runs this week when i install the new pipe.
