I would suggest you try to bring everything you can, to not rely on the local venues. They have the essentials, but its limited. There is another town with more to choose from about 20 minutes out, but any time away from the event is dangerous! Who knows what you'll miss!

Generators are fine, we have used them as well. Just be conscious of your surroundings, nothings worse then having to listen to someone elses generator 15 feet from away from your tent while your trying to sleep. It will be HOT AND STICKY in the day, and cool at night. Hoping maybe we can have a river year again! Ay Tim?

Need to get my special build done. Got the rest of the fleet just about ready, gonna be a good year!

Spray the underside of all your fenders with furniture polish (yes, I am serious). It shows admirable foresight, and will save you hours of hosing off when you get home.

There are generally 2 porta-johns on site. Also, they have been leaving the bathrooms (3 crappers, 4 shower stalls) open all night in recent years.
I can't stress enough to clean up after yourself in the bathroom - we have a great repuation with park management and it needs to stay that way.
The leave them open only as a courtesy for TrikeFest and Pete will get surly if they get trashed.

There is a pizza place that will deliver to the front gate, but shopping in town is VERY limited, so bring enough that you will not run out of food or beer.
They also have a snack shop with dogs, burgers, and breakfast food, but hours are pretty limited.

Get there as early as possible. Fri-Sat are packed with events and you will want time for free riding and admiring trikes (that is what Wed-Thrusday are for).
    Loose agenda is:
    Fri - noon - MX (11 classes)
Fri PM - Devil's Backbone hillclimb
people mostly congregate near the drag strip for grudge racing and dialing in their racers before sunset
    Sat afternoon - Drag races
    Sat PM - group picture
Sat @ dusk - Award ceremony
Sat night - Herk & Jerk (unsanctioned event)
at some point there may be an informal group ride too.

Of course this is all weather dependant. We also post signs near the front gate with event times if they change.

Jake there is sooo much info on this, you really should take a look before asking. I'm not trying to be a jerk, it's just that the info has been posted over and over and over.

June 23rd and 24th are the big days, but some guys (like myself) will be there for almost the entire week. It's at Haspin Acres in Laurel, IN, and that's where it's been held for many years now.

Also for those of you who run 2 strokes..At last check, the small station downtown in Haspin, DOES NOT SELL Premium gas. Only 87 Octane. To get Premium fuel you have to drive back North for about 15 miles to get it.
Make sure you bring plenty of Gas if you need other than regular fuel.

I'm fairly certain you can run a generator, but if it's loud you may want to be off by yourself. No need to get your neighbors all riled up.

If it rains be prepared for a mess. The clay there turns into a slick peanut-buttery substance that makes it hard to move in almost any vehicle, and once the stuff dries on your machine good luck getting it cleaned off. The substance has affectionately been termed as "Clayment". It only rained briefly last year right when I was getting ready to pull out and hit the highway home. I was parked right near the entrance and I did a whole lot of sliding before I got out. Hence the tire chain comment I made before.

last year was the first time I think I have been there when we didnt get dumped on durring trikefest. It usually rains durring trikefest for like 1/3 or 1/2 time time making the absolute biggest freaking mess. Bikes, camping sites, equipment, EVERYTHING ends up covered in mud. We packed up everything saturday night in 2011 and moved my vehicle to parking lot by the exit so I could just roll out. Def recomend you do that if you know rain is coming right before you leave. Cant count how many people I have watched spinning all four trying to climb the hill out with a trailer full of toys

If I still own my Tecate in June Im there.......Cant wait to lay the smack down once again, and then go into hiding until June 2013. I hope the competition gets a little stronger, I would hate to see my true 250 cc motor win the OPEN CLASS 2 years in a row!

Ok gonna throw this out here any see if there is any interest. I plan on leaving from my place in the wee morning hrs on Thursday June 21st (like 3 or 4 am). Mapquest is saying 9 1/2 hrs to get there. We all know that means probably more like 12 till you get potty breaks and food stops not to mention any construction or accidents that may pop up. I live outside of Red Lion, PA which is south central PA. I have a 6 x 10 enclosed trailer that should accommodate (2) trikes easily. Is there anyone who would like to share the ride, gas, and tolls? I would prefer to have someone willing to meet up the wkd before to get their trike and large items loaded so the day of departure it's pretty much jump in and go. If there is no interest from anyone to do that I may be willing to pick some one up en-route as long as they are not to far off said route. Pm me if interested and we can see if we can work something out. I know this may be a little early to plan, but hoping to have some company for this long ride. Here's a map of the route I will be taking. RT 76 (toll) to 70 (toll??)

I felt bad for that trailer. I evacuated because I seriously thought it was going to collapse.
