    Ice tire wraps

Been pondering the idea of tire wraps for my 250r. Riding through my yard to the lakeshore with freshly studded tires doesn't seem like a good idea for the studs, or my wallet. And what about loading/unloading and transporting to other lakes/tracks? Called the lady who makes tire wraps for moto bikes, she said $50 a wrap. Three wraps would be too much for my empty pokets.

I have a 20 x 6 x 10 Razr mx on the front, so what to do with my old, bald 23"? Tire wrap!!! Works like a motobike tire wrap. It seems pretty tight to the front tire with plenty of room between the forks. I think it will do just fine for putting to the ice.

For the rear tires I will be studding a set of 18 x 10 x 8 Hoeshots. Low and behold a buddy of mine has a set of he was gooing to throw away. I will be using there to make the wraps for the rear.

Thats what I call redneck ingenuity at its best!! Great job man and way to save $50, now to find 2 bald rears to do the same for the rears. No worries about slipping the studs will grab the inside of the carcass of the old tire.

Seems like it will work pretty well. Fits tightly to the tire. I know it loks a bit redneck, but for free I don't really care. Gonna cut up an old set of this weekend for the rears.

better get a heavier drive chain, and a couple dozen saw blades if you are going to attempt to cut a to wrap your rear tires with.
