    Never Fails.....

    I get my 200x to idle down and 3rd gear doesnt work.....never a break for me....ive been running around like a chicken with its head cut off for a week now, and have gotten no where!

    Welcome to the 20 year oldbike club . There is always something that seems to break on these things so when you find a good bike KEEP IT. That is something I have learned but not done yet :? .

    #1 that is my luck, # 2 Honda Atc thats an ouch! Power is a good thing but with the wrong luck it turns bad overnight.

    I think its a shifting fork, because its like its in 1/2 the gear, sometimes it will go, other times the motor just revs and makes a ratcheting like noise...I have 2 bottom ends, one is missing 2nd gear and the other is on the bike, and no money to buy parts....this is when they say Lifes a B!tch!

    Put the two together. Either take third gear from the one, and put it in the other (if thats the case) or the shifter fork. Or put the second gear in the other bottom end.

    there is no wear on any of the gears, but there is wear on a shifting fork....so ill replace that and see what happens.

    I havent had this specific tranny apart...but have had other 200x trannies apart.
