Just got done doing some work on my neighbors mint '83 (i think) YTM200EL. Took it for a test spin. What a fun machine, and great wheelie bike. How does the honda 200 or 250 automatics compare to this bike performance wise?

yes they do lol i finally got my fired up from a restore project and it wheelies very very well if you get my drift. i have a 83 yamaha ytm200ek its so cool! im a sophmore and you guys have had this avalible to you for a while ive justed entered the fun world of offroading!
The Honda atc 250Sx is a blast to do wheelies on. With the auto clutch it allowed me to learn how to shift while doing wheelies, great begginers bike for wheelies. So far I have made it too 5th gear on the Honda doin a wheelie. Ive made it from first to second on my Tecate, but it is a little hairy for me yet because of the twist throttle more practice I guess.

I am too scared to try riding wheelies. I just started riding this year so I have a lot more to learn and a lot more riding before I started popping and riding wheelies.

If you happen to feel you are going to far back or got out of the balancing point, hit the rear brake real quick. Start small and work your way up.

wheelies will cause all the oil to run to rear of motor, purge an air bubble and starve the top end cam bearings, cam lobes, cam and will score the piss outta them.

isnt that only on 4 strokes, since the only oil other than two stroke mix is gear oil that just lubes the tranny?
