    Invert forks for my 250R

    Are these the right forks?There form a 1997 CR 125 according to the auction I bought them from. I was someday gona get Jason Halls kit to do this. What forks are others using on here for there projects.

    Everyones got different opinions but I like the KTM85SX 105SX front forks because they dont need to be shortened any.

    Yeah they cost more up front but jason said them or the cr ones. I got these with the caliaper and rotor for $100.

    yes those can be used but as Billy said, they need to be shortened like 2 inches.

    as far as i know Race Tech Suspension will shorten them for u.

    couldn't he slide the forks up a bit and run a shorter tire and not shorten them

    The tire I run is 1.5 inches shorter than stock its a itp quad cross 22x7x10

    That lowers your ride height but doesn't decrease suspension travel. If you do that the bottom of your frame and bike will slam into the ground when it "bottoms out" instead of the suspension itself bottoming out.

    The inverted forks have a tapered section where the triple mounts. U can't just slide it to any position.

    ^ Certain years and models you have a bit to play with.

    None of the newer models can be moved much.....

    I guess they tapered them to save weight, but it didn't help us much : /
