Honda 250 Red spark drops off and comes back in the same spin
New stator, no change.
Many new plugs.
new coil and wire etc
With the plug resting on the head, hit the electric starter and it sparks,
stops sparking and then sparks again all in the 5 second spin.
No change in starter speed and actually does the same thing when kicking it.
Intermittent Capacitor breakdown somewhere?
Thinking completely bizarre, maybe the engine simply spinning may be activating the charge circuitry / regulator which somehow shorts out and kills the spark?
I know they'll kickstart and run with the ignition key switch completely disconnected so maybe that's one advantage of talking to myself and something I should try next.
Any other ideas before I trade it all for a golf cart?
Thanks
