The Tri Z is sweet...but god I wish Yamaha made a better motor than the 490.

It was air cooled and not a great performer. It was always the slowest of all the Open class bikes and was a trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro to jet and make run right.

Oh...well....its a freak'in sweet Z and would probably kill everything in a drag race....except a KX 500 powered trike or CR 500 powered trike!

With the exception of the exhaust and lack of rear fenders that thing is awesome.

It takes a lot more than some custom paint & a big motor to impress me. There's absolutely no attention to detail. I can understand why he's "trying" to sell it. What a hunka!

If you look there is rearfenders. They are just cut to for drag racing or somthing. I wouldnt like to take that thing in the mud though. Other wise I wouldnt mind that!

490s were only 4 speeds also.. I believe the 465s were 5 speeds, along with the 360's, but Im not positive about that.

I absolutely hate yz490's. The It490 was slightly better, but still a miserable motor. The 465 was a better bike in nearly every respect in comparison to the early 490. Still, it looks like a good bike. It will smoke pretty much anything around these parts that I know of.
