Yup, Glamis is the sand toy capital of the world! Miles & miles of nothing but sand, huge dunes, etc.

Regarding the Barnett clutch; With the mods I've got and after the Trinity porting, the additional power was eating the stock clutch up every 2-3 trips. I finally installed the Barnett, and it has lasted at least 15 seasons.

Speaking of "witch's eyes", a friend was riding my wife's ATC at Glamis a couple of weeks ago and hit one (a witch's eye) and bent both front forks (also broke the front of the helmet when he hit the handlebars!). Luckily I had a full set in my garage, 'cuz I went online to check out the cost (curious)...can't find them anywhere anymore! What are any of you doing for front forks if bent?

As long as it is the fork tube it should be able to be straightened with a press at a machine shop. I would be afraid that the metal of the tube would be weaker afterwards, and therefore be easier to rebend. There is a company (I can't recall the name offhand) but they build fork tubes for a lot cheaper than oem parts. As far as forks there are quite a few on Ebay and I think there is one NOS set of forks on there right now.

It's a large, deep hole formed in the sand by the wind.. Depending on time of day, and conditions they are all but invisible til you fall into it..

You got me beat by a couple years. My R was almost new when I got it but not quite. Had it for 23 years now.

You don't see them that often at Waynoka. There just isn't as much dunes, the dunes are a lot smaller so you just don't see them there.

Thanks for those links. I went on ebay, but only found the one set of NOS, not any of the others you listed. Not sure why, maybe my "search" terms/techniques need a little tweaking! In any case, one of mine is bent pretty badly; don't think I would trust it after straightening, but the other is not too bad. I'll probably try to have it straightened so I still have at least one spare on hand.

BTW, one additional request (posted here since I'm new and can't post elsewhere yet): I'm loving the pdf service manual for my ATC that I got from this site. Does anybody know where I can get the same thing for my 1985 Yamaha BW200?
