1977 atc90 looking for manual or timing explanation

i have a 77 atc90 and im looking for a free downloadable manual or for someone to explain how to set the timing. I had to take the cylinder off so right now the timing chain is off the cam sprocket. I downloaded this one http://www.oscarmayer.net/atc/manuals/ but i cant find anything about doing the timing. thanks

EDIT: Also the high low range lever seems to be stuck in the low position. i cant push it over to high. I just got this trike so i dont know for sure but it looks like it hasnt run in a LONG time. Any insight on this would be great too!

Sometimes with the hi/lo gearbox lever, you have to rock the trike some back and forth to get the lever to switch gears. Remember, you are dealing with a 35 year old machine that not have always been treated the best. Do a search here on the site for downloadable manuals, they are here. It's alot to type out to explain how to put the cam back in and time it.

Page 57 of that manual you downloaded - the pictures are not very clear and the instructions are a bit brief but it is there. As long as you have your piston at TDC and your cam lobes are pointing down symmetrically your marks should line up.
