    yamaha warriors

    I found 2 warriors on Craigslist in good condition, he wants 1500 for both and extra parts, what I want to know, is there anyone who owns one now or had owned them before because I would like to know if they are a good ATV and how reliable t hey are, thanks!!!

    I build big bore stroker kit's for them,and still do a lot of them because the rods go out. They are a good quad but they run hot ,if they would have put a oil cooler on the they would last for ever it seams like. I have a oil cooler kit for them that I put the colder oil right to the bottom end rod brg. and that throws the cold oil up under the piston and on to the cylinder walls.

    As far as how they handle they are not as good as most,but better then some. If they are 88' or older they are heavy steering and the a-arms are at the wrong angle which gives a lot of feed back to the handle bars.

    I raced one for Yamaha in 1990,but the steering was fixed on the 89's and up.

    When the motor goes most of the time it's the crank so you can rebuild that or stroke it.They need valves and cam chin 99% of the time too.
