Why would they be hard on the clutch? They are same as stock size, just an inch wider.

They do NOT spin! You will realize after a ride how MUCH the stock knobbies do! Keep fresh oil in it and you'll be fine! You will love them in any low traction conditions.

UPS man just showed up a bit ago with my rims and tires already assembled and aired up. I put em on and fell in love immediately. Best tire performance I've experienced from an ATV tire, hands down. I can break em loose in the snow. Slush from the street was flying over my head from behind. Guess they are messy. I need mud!

Bearclaws are a VERY heavy tire. Go easy on the little 125m. Keep it in low, and, get some pictures!

Tried to post pics earlier tonight from work via 3WW Mobile... Guess it didn't work.

I think the Douglas rims and Bear Claws look pretty badass myself. I have to unbolt a hub and rotate it a spline or two and see if I can line the treads up better. I think it will give it a smoother ride. Not that it's rough or anything, but you can tell they are off just a bit. Need to find out if the Douglas or ITP Steelies can be used on the front. I've decided to get rid of all two piece rims.

Rocky Mtn ATV's item description for the rims stated flange nuts should be used when mounting the rims. No local hardware store had 8mm Coarse Thread Flange Nuts in stock. I settled on new Stainless nuts and flat washers. I was going to use Nylocks but they were short on them. Only had 3 in the bin. Is there a nationwide hardware shortage or something? Or are my local stores just lazy?

Jason - Each tire and rim combo only weighs 26.5 lbs. I gotta think the s on the wife's Trike weigh more than that with steel two piece rims. She may be getting some Douglas rims as well or maybe the ITP Steelies.

Anyways. Here are of my "Work In Progress"

I beat the SH!T out of an 1984 atc 110 with Carlisle strykers in 22-12-9 that weight a ton and dont even need air to stay round they are soo thick and stiff. never had a problem with the clutch or anything like that, even being in high range.

I wouldn't worry about it, its a honda not a polaris. Its going to need a rebuild one day anyway. its not like its in mint condition and needs to be preserved. HAVE FUN and dont sweat the new meats

Kinda what I was thinking. The 125m seems to have plenty of power to move with the Bear Claws through snow, on the street and through slushy stuff. I'm not much of a restoration type of guy anyways. I like using old stuff that actually works like it was built to. I wish companies had pride in their products like they did back in the day. They built them with quality materials with the intent that it lasted a lifetime if properly maintained. Nowadays everything is made to be disposable. If it breaks, buy a new one!

Nice tires... if you find a place that sells aluminum rims in 4/130 with no offset, let us know... I need one for a 110 front.
