    questions with T3 timing..?

    i bought a new stator and flywheel for my '86, and the two holes that the plate mounts to the engine are slotted, how do i know for sure where the plate should be bolted? when its in and move the plate clockwise, it retards the timing and vice versa right? its a magnetic flywheel and not the glued on POS one, if it helps.

    You should see 3 marks on the stator. There is a long one with 2 shorter ones on either side. There is a pointer (really just a bump) cast into the case. Align the right hand mark on the stator (the shorter one) with the pointer on the case. That's it!
