Got the holeshot
Somewhere underneath my tranny I am leaking oil, and I cant find it. I thought adout using a product called stop leak I think thats what it is called. Has anyone ever used something similar where you pour it in and it stops the leak? Would this work for my tranny?

An oil additive like Stop Leak might work, but probably not. If it's made it to the dripping stage, your gasket is probably shot.
The best way to locate a leak, is to buy a can of Brake Cleaner (make sure it's the non-flamable kind, it will say right on the container) and spray down your engine. The stuff will take any and all old dirt and grime away. It shouldn't be too difficult to locate the leak afterwards...

Which gaskets? The one between the case halves? I decided I didnt want to split the cases yet I just want something that will temporarilly work stop the leak until I rebuild my whole bottom end. Are there any similar products to stop leak that might work?

It would probably gum up your clutch plates. I wouldn't try it. It would be cool though if you could use additives. Like using "Engine Restore" instead of a new rings

i will tell you the truth.....you have to take out your engine and split the cases and change the gaskets, there is NO getting around it, i'm sure you could stick some glue or whatever you want in the hole for awhile and it will hold for probly 5 minutes or less of running time, there is no way of getting it around this, you just have to.

I dont see how anybody can make any recomendation without know here it is leaking. You really need to use an engine clener, and clean it up and see where its leaking. Theres no way around that.
Let us know how engine stop leak affects your wet clutch. This should be interesing.

I always thought stop leak was the product that you put into water cooling system to plug up radiators that leaked (Where the engine is watercooled of course)? I've never heard of such a product that is an oil treatment. I don't believe the clutch would take much of a liking to that though, thats like probably like pouring STP in or something.

If this stuff is similar to auto tranny fluid conditioners, the theory is that it's supposed to soften the rubber seals, and therefore stop the leaks. I am somewhat skeptical. I can't see it working on a m/c tranny.

Stop Leak is for cooling system. They do make a sealer that is supposed to stop oil leakage but it is more geared toward seepage. Definatly would not use in a bike. What it does is cause gaskets to swell and therefore stopping the leak. I am sure this would play hell with the clutch plates.
