    New from Oklahoma

hi everyone my names Tyler ive been on this site a few time before and finally decided to register. Ive owned a couple of honda 110's in my teens and I just bought a 83 honda 185s yesterday. the guy didnt know what year it was but thanks to a post in one of the forums i typed the vin in and found out it was a 1983. I was wondering where to get a pull start for it if anyone knows, the decompression cable is on the motor but didnt know where it plugged into untill i seen on youtube it goes to the pull start. Does anyone know if the cable has to be pugged in or used. Thanks

The easiest place to get a pull start/recoil is in the classified section on this website. Or you can ebay...

i had nothin better to do for the past 20 minutes, so i found a couple pull starters on eBay. doesnt look like theyre gonna be cheap though......

not sure if the '84-'85 starters will work on your '83, but those are goin for about $120 anyway. good luck!

you may want to plug the decomp cable in, these bikes arent alot of fun to kick or pull start with out the decomp stuff. Either way, welcome!

that can be real important! doesnt the decomp stuff keep it from kickin back at you or yankin the pull cord outta your hand? theres not much that hurts more than havin frozen hands when that pull starter gets yanked outta your fingers
