I don't know if they are still around but Dyno Port up in Syracuse built the pipe for my CR500 powered R back in the early 90's. I ran up there early one morning with the machine and waited while they built it.

Yes, Dynoport is still kicking. I don't know if they still build custom pipes, but it sure wouldn't hurt to ask. They aren't too far from where I live. About an hour and a half. They are actually about 40 minutes west of Syracuse.. Here's their site: http://www.dynoport.com/

While I dont elaborate on every pipe, here is decent thread about pipes and which one I feel is at the top of the game right now.

Arlin is done on my pipe and its out tomorrow, it came to $315, NOT chromed. When ordered it, he asked what cylinder and porting it had. He knew what it was immediately, as he ported it when he was with LRD. He didn't want to know the carb, ignition or reeds. I have a lrd 310pv, that I bought in 06. Next is gonna be inverted front end, now that I found a place to ride the trike and I gathered the money back up, Jason is getting the money to get the whole package together. Next will be some work on my dirtbikes, 86 200x put back together and then more money thrown into the 450 trike. This is all unless my truck ends up needing more work, fixing A/C, that I rarely use, would be the next thing.

I may get flamed for this but nothing beats the stock pipe and silencer for all around riding , especially for low end torque for trails and noise control, which is very important around here.
however none of this is true if you're doing open desert riding.
