    ATC 70 Sprockets and Chain

I couldn't take enough slack out of my chain so I think it must be stretched and time for new. My 85 atc 70 has the stock engine. My son will be mostly riding it (8 y.o., 75lbs) with me buzzing around on it occasionally. Have you found that the stock 13 tooth front and the 36 tooth rear work the best or have you changed it up with better gearing. Don't do alot of hill climbing. I was thinking I would go with a D.I.D. 420 chain and aftermarket sprockets (Sunstar most likely). Do you change out the chain tensioner sprocket out to new as well. Are they still available? My chain tensioner sprocket has more wear than either sprocket. What are your thoughts?

http://www.dratv.com/attirwheelbr.html time to go see the Dr. I would stick with the stock gearing and replace the tensioner at the same time
