    85 250r shock linkage dust caps

    Anybody know where to find some 85/86 250r shock linkage dust caps?? Been looking for awhile now and doesn't look good...
    1985 250r-LED Performance 4mm Stroker motor
    1978 ATC70 w/ Piranha 140cc

    are they not included in the shock linkage rebuild kits?

    I just found the pivot works kits and they are included... but damn $70 for a kit is nuts but looks like its the only one available!!

    its not gonna work on a 85, unless the bottom bolt has been changed to a 86+ bolt and bushings. Everything on a 85 and 86 linkage is different.

    So can i just use an 86 lower bolt?

    yea, use the 86-89 bottom bolt, it thicker than the 85 bolt. The 85 bolt was 12mm and 86-89 bolt was 14mm. If you see a noticable step in the bolt after the threads you have the 86-89 bolt. many bent the 85 bolts, I know I bent 2 of them.

    So since the bolt is bigger do i have to modify the linkage at all to accept the bigger bolt? Or will that rebuild kit have the bigger sleeve for the 14mm bolt?

    you don't need to modify the dog bone, I don't remember if the 86+ collars fit on the 85 frame-shock link.
