Gday from Australia. Breath easy everyone, as trikes are still really popular in my part of the world. I started about 12yrs ago with a well used 185s 1982. I rescued it from chickens which prized it as their favourite perch. Its previous owner had worked it very hard day in day out as it was relied on for duties on a coastal dairy farm. After much persuasion i finally got him to agree to let me take it off his hands promising to restore it. And that i did. Being a little green (fresh) i started to clean, scrub, clean, sand, repair, weld, make good, clean, paint, fuss, etc, several mates gave me great incentive when they said,
" ha, you will never get that going. Waisting your time. Just made me more determined."
Finally after many months i got to take it out for my first ride. That was it, i was hooked.
I recently purchased a 83 200x in good original condition, since then i have done a great deal to it to make it what it should be, however not finished yet. dont forget to check out photos, will post more soon. Have learnt to solve many problems since repairing trikes, hope to have more yet. Next, a 70 model for my daughter then an 86 250r. Problem being, here in Aus if you have one you dont generally sell it, there isnt too many 250r's left, around here anyway in the sort of condition im dreaming about, and if there is, once in a month of sundays, its as dear as poison.
