250es Main fuse topics. key on, nothing happens

but it kick starts and everything works.

I can't even find the fuses.
Recent dental work makes it impossible to even bend over to look.

On the sx, the fuse is by the battery.

    Thanks

ok, so the main fuse of the 250sx is real obvious by the battery and the 250es
is a flat piece of metal hiding in a rectangular rubber 2 piece case that holds a black box by the solenoid and is best replaced with a fuse that is more commonly avail?

I wonder why they designed them that way?

These are pix I found using the search key.
Guess I'll look for some sort of fuse holder and splice it in.

Under the headlight on the ES, (and the main is by the solenoid)
No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!

That last pic in the first post is a buss fuse from Napa, like 3 bucks.
The guy also said they have the metal tab types of fuses that look like miniature wrenches but couldn't find any.
so I guess they are not honda specific if the 'have' them at a regular auto parts store.

Guess I'll solder this one in and try not to forget the shrink wrap.

Mine wasn't broken but between the spiffy waterproof boot holding moisture and the 2 tiny screws
with 2 tiny washers, there was enough surface area and parts to sprout corrosion, and it couldn't conduct.

It makes more sense for me have a 20 amp fuse that can be found at a 7-11 or a supermarket.

    wow Thanks,

I guess if they worked for 27 years, there's no real need to
change the design, although I have the parts now and it would be a fast fix.

The local Napa auto parts store says they DO have the funny metal strip fuses but if not,
will definitely pm and shoot off some $.
