Southern Ontario Trikers - Newtonville March 17th or 18th?

Anyone interested in riding Newtonville this weekend?? I've never been there before, but keep hearing decent things about the area. Would love to check it out, and since Ganny and other trails haven't opened yet this seems like the obvious choice... Anyone in??

I wouldn't mind going but the only thing I would be able to ride would be my 84 200m and that wouldn't be much fun, my 200 x's are in the middle of rebuilds so hopefully next time I see someone that wants to ride nearby they will be done
    Trikes
    83' atc 110
    83' atc 200e
    84' atc 200m
    84' atc 200x

Sounds good JJMF1979 - I'll keep you posted for next time.

I heard from a few people that it's still really soggy and muddy there right now, so it's probably still too early to have much fun there. I'm probably going to explore some service roads on my dual sport instead.

I think a few of us are hitting raglan tomorrow around noon.No fast bikes though a couple M's, a 185s and my SX. I used to live up the street from the sugarbowl and rip my YZ490 in there ,it should be a mess

Don't go to raglan... That place is police city. They said will will be heavily monitoring it this year. As for newtonville, its only muddy in the low lieing areas which are mostly on the east end. To the north it is fairly high and it stays pretty dry. Newtonville is a great place to ride for any type of riding. You can go as far south as lake ontario and there are lots of trails down there. I've ridden along the shores of the lake for miles and miles. I've also seen quite a few trikes there. I have no clue how far east it goes, I went about 4 hours one way and it was still going. There is tons of steeeeeeep hillclimbs too, but if you don"t have some good aggressive tires, you'll slide all the way down. Don't ask me how I know. Only downside, tons of dirtbikers flyin all over the place, no one cares in there. Sorry I missed this thread B.J. I would of taken you around with the x. Next time!! I go there more than ganny because it is closer, and free and you don't need insurance or anything to ride in there, so I could take the x there before I had insurance.

Count me in Jason! I'd love for you to show me around the area... I keep hearing great things about it but have never been! Maybe if I get my act together I can finally get that '86 250R Kevin sold me together and try it out!

Xhumeka, that was my first time there, and wow what a great place to ride. I can't believe it's so close, and I've never been there. It has a little bit of everything there, hills, trails, tracks, forest, I will definitely be going there alot. I think this weekend the 5th, we should be going to Newtonville- what do you think?

I can't believe I missed the chance to ride with the BigWheel!!! Are you going to bring that out on the 5th??

I'm up for a trip to Newtonville - I don't have my Ganny pass yet, so I can squeeze in a weekend of free riding

Jason, it was pretty dry last weekend, not alot of slick spots, I think your razrs would be ok. Plus like Xhumeka said, it is totally free to ride there, which would save anyone coming in from out of town, the $25 fee per person for the Ganaraska.
