    1983 Honda 200ATC Brakes

How do I remove the rear brakes? I have the wheel, outside cover and large nuts loose, but can't get the drum off.

there is an o-ring on the out side of the drum and also loosen your breaks if they've worn in enough into the drum it will not come off make sure the axle turns while your taking the drum off

Free manuals in the 'world class help' section BTW.

The only brakes I can remember are 1985 sx/es and they were like a car drum with 2 phillips set screws holding the drum on.

For some reason, the orig factory lube on the brake actuator turns into some sort of sticky film and keeps the shoes out, maybe just enough to bite into grooves in the drum.

The search key has save me many times, especially when everyone is out riding.
You should be able to access tons of info about 'stuck drums' or some other key words
    with one click.

Had the same problem with my 84 200s. A lot of patience, pb blaster and I tapped around the drum with a ballpean while pulling on it. Slowly it came off a cm at a time. Took me bout an hr and a half
