Where the hell's your safety glasses? You only got two of them, you know! This was my solution cause looking for a pristine seat pan is like looking for gold. First I sandblasted it then I painted all the rusty areas with this stuff. Then I gave it a couple of coats of paint and handed it off to my upholstery lady. If the outer edge all the way around is good and the integrity of the mounting studs are solid, use it. If not, throw it in the trash and get on ebay!

I found some plastic ones thank's...

    now onto the tank...

I am going to do some testing on an old 110 tank for sanding. I want too see how smooth I can get it with my angle grinder.

    Before....

and I will post some after I do it I will be useing some 120 pads to start then do the rest by hand...

on the real tank I think I will have to use some of this...

I would use a stripper or even a da sander. The metal isn't that thick, plus if there is corrosion. There is alot of good info here on how to take care of the inside of the tank. Also spray paint won't last on the gas tank, the gas will eat it up.

only thing i've found vinegar is good for is cleaning out the hard water build up in your coffee maker.
