    This is the one I did 2 years ago:

    All except the white on the tank and fiberglass fenders. They got epoxy primer and BC/CC white.
    I used Duplicolor red caliper paint and silver wheel paint. Can't speak to the paint durability - I sold it shortly after to fund a 200x project.

    For the axle:
    - on my white 200X, I hit it with the wire wheel then painted it with silver. It looked great but after the first trip to the dunes, the paint is mostly gone.
    - on my 350x, I bead blasted the axle and sprayed with Duplicolor clear engine enamel. I have not run it anywhere yet but I doubt the paint will last

    No pix of the 350X axle.
    These are the 200X axle. IT does not look original and most of this paint is gone now anyway:
