Hey I've got some trouble
I was riding the 110 in the woods in first gear and the rear brake just locked up. I don't know what to do or how to fix it. It's not the cable. Can anyone help?

Are you sure that it was the brake that locked up? Was it still running? Did it loosen up at all? Probably the best thing to do would be to take it all apart to see what is wrong and grease everything (except the brake shoes lol). My guesses are that it could be a bad bearing or the cam that opens the brake is stuck. www.bikebandit.com and www.partsfish.com have schematics for it. Hope this helps!

Im going to assume youve narrowed it down to the brakes locked up, and not a tranny problem or anything, right? First thing is to completely loosen the adjuster all the way, and disconnect the brake rod, or cable whichever it has. This should free it so you can get it back to the garage. The only times Ive ever seen mechaincal brakes lock up like that is with really old brake shoes, where the fiber pad has come off one of the shoes. When its loose in there, it randomely decides to wedge between a shoe and the drum, and lock it up.
Hey thanks for the advice. Can someone help me find the schematics on one of those sites, I'm having trouble finding anything.
thanks

yeah it might be a tranny problem.I know someone who has a badger 80,and when you push it in nuetral it locks up,you can still push it,but very slowly, like when its In gear.what we do to fix it temperarily,is to pick up the rear end and drop it lol,and it rolls free, and ride it till it locks up again.I wouldnt suggest doing this to your bike, but just to let you know your not the only one with this problem.
Sure, here is the pic. of the rear brake http://houseofmotorcycles.bikebandit...pt_name=ATC110 just click the "back to schematic list" above the diagram to get the list of other parts.

If it's a brake problem try going out their with a mallet and hitting it and see if it comes loose. I've heard it's a good idea to take the brake cover off of them, the brake hardware gets rusted faster with the cover on then off. I'm planning on doing it just haven't had the time.
