Quick question for all you 2nd gen 200x Experts

    Hello All,
For those that are familiar with the 2nd gen 200x front hubs.

I am using an 86 front hub on my first gen build to fit a custom wheel. My question is about the two pieces of metal pressed on the hub bolts. Bike bandit refers to them as "hub stoppers".

I was wondering if I could remove those or do they serve a purpose that I am not seeing? These aren't used on the 1st gen hubs and to make it look period correct I would like to get rid of them.

Any issues if I remove these "hub stoppers"

    Thanks in advance!

Interesting. Yes, the nuts are acorn style. but I wasn't going to reuse the nuts, I was going to go with a flat style nut. Thanks for the information Mike!
