    My FREE Tecate

Did some trading with a square that I had been given. Ended up getting an 85 Tecate.

Naked like I got it. Runs good though

    quick bath

How you like the custom sportster seat.. Got a grab bar for it

cleaned up the spray painted tank

Rebuilt the brakes. None of them worked and added a new piece. Front and rear. Kinda fond of the Richter silencers so I made one work for it..

Finally picked up some plastics and a stock seat. Paddles should be here tomorrow. Ready for the Rampage then it will get tore down and made pretty. Man these things need a few inches added to the swinger. They just look so stubby..

Not sure what route I am going to go with it yet. I am going to build it as my wifes / backup bike. She likes it cause she can kick it. She doesn't do well with my R. 110 lbs and good compression don't get along.. I am thinking of doing white plastics. I'm looking for some cool pieces for it in the mean time..

I should have paddles sitting at the front door when I get home today. I want to have a couple sets of wheels and tires for it when I'm done. Looking at some hosiers and a set of fast trekkers at the moment. Trying to figure out the front tire situation. Got it for the sand just not sure what to run for the other 2.

I have a set of 18in fast trekkers on my 84, they slide like butter, but I wouldnt go off the gravel road with them, they are just too low, and they require major gear changing going to 18in. I would recommend 20's for the rear for fast trekkers. For the front, I have always been a big fan of the kenda front max. Ever seen one on the front of a tecate? It looks sweet, and handles awesome.

What size Kenda max do you run on them. I have never seen one on a tecate. I like the max. It is what I run on my R's.

    Paddles did come in today.
