    84 200x questions

Sorry for all the questions lately, trying to learn as much as possible.

I recently bought a 1984 200x and the fenders were cut completely off, is there any reason to do that? Does it benifits besides weight savings? (haha)

Is there a way to check if the suspention is good, like how you would on a car?

There's a little canister on the left side under the seat, is that my break booster?

And last but not least, this didn't come with a manual, do what kin of gas should I put in this? It came with the repair manual but I can't find anything about the gas.

I'll post pictures when I get on my computer

It's a pain in the butt to get this damn thing in the bed of my truck,

ok so the benifit of cutting the fender is to get rid of the cracked parts lol, to test the shock push the back end down and see if it slowly comes back up, the canister is the rear shock resevoir, click on the blue words to download a service manual anything else pm me I just finished rebuilding one and have another one I am gonna start on soon

yours looks to be in pretty good shape compared to the ones I get lol and they clean up nice you just need a new tank and some fenders from what I can see but i'm sure it will need other stuff it is 30 years old basically, check the bearings and make sure they are good easier to replace them now then when they fail and mess up your carriers, and axles

Nope, thumb throttle is factory. Ever ridden a three wheeler with a twist? Not fun in my opinion.

You can switch it out easy enough. My TRX250R came with a twist which I can't stand so I switched it back to thumb. Look on eBay or post a wanted ad in the classfieds on here

I just put a twist on my 200x rebuild and am not sure if I like it or not as I feel I don't have the control I am used too, but I am gonna give it a bit and see what happens, and since this is my trail trike maybe take it off and put it on my drag trike I am gonna start on shortly
