Gap is .025, I switched cdi and coil from my 185, same thing. Gas line is all good, got plenty of gas. Head gasket should be fine, when it runs it has power. Intake manifold could be bad, not sure really. The spark is not really that big, kind of sporatic, that is why I switched triggers. I am also assuming the 185 stuff works on the 200x. I am wondering if the stator is weak. I do remember some confusion putting the cam chain on because the marks were confusing.

yeah, I don't know if the 185 is compatible with the 200x. Shortline10 is an expert with 185 stuff, he would know. I would try a different 200x trigger. If the spark is sporadic, I would get that right first. Make sure the "O" on the cam sprocket is lined up at exactly 12:00 with the "V" grooves on the rocker cover WHILE the "T" on the flywheel is aligned with the "V" on the top of the flywheel cover hole. Once that is set perfectly, you need to ensure that the "F" on the flywheel and advancer is aligned....(there is an article on this site for how to align the "F"). Search for 200x timing.

I don't think the 185 is complatible. But, I have another 200x here, and I started swapping parts. After I double checked my cam chain timing, which was good. After much playing around/swapping stuff, I think it was the pluse generator. I got it running much better, it started up quick and ran good. However, after putting new ends on the wires, and putting it back together, it wouldn't start again. I got worn out today, I will have a look at it tomorrow. My dam leg is sore from kicking, and I just got a herniated disc so I am in a bit of pain to be kicking this thing over and over.

I also noticed another thing, the flywheel looks out of round when I see it spinning in the hole. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Oh and BTW, the first pulse generator check out fine with my ohm meter.

If your flywheel is out of round, that's probably not good. You can pick up another flywheel for 35 bucks on ebay or swap out your other flywheel. Its pretty simple and fast if you have the flywheel puller tool.

Yes, I rebuilt the whole motor, I think I can handle changing the flywheel, lol. Hey, thank you for all your help too. Sometimes even if the person you are talking too doesn't really help, through talking ti makes you try other things. This thing is really kicking my ass, I tried a bunch of things again today, including swapping carbs from a 185, but that carb looked like a pos, so I didn't really learn anything. I might try one of these ebay carbs.

No worries, I know what you mean. Get all the "advice" in the world and none of it helps. Sometimes though, it makes you think of something else that may be wrong.
